Job Role: Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with daily routines, including personal care and feeding.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

They help with the day-to-day care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients' own homes. They are vital members of hospital, home, and clinic teams.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
2. Assisting with feeding
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
6. Helping patients move around
7. Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
8. Maintaining cleanliness of wards or homes
9. Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to both NHS and private sectors, including nurses, general nurses, RGNs, NMC-registered nurses, Band 5 and 6 nurses, HCAs, and specialist nurses in areas like A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
