Job Role: Support worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support worker / Healthcare assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes. They are vital members of the team in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you would work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties could include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Serving food or assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Maintaining a tidy ward or patient’s home
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including nurses, general nurses, RGNs, NMC registered nurses, Band 5 and 6 nurses, HCAs, community nurses, and specialist nurses in areas like A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
