About The Role And Team

The Horizontal Trading team at eBay is responsible for developing and scaling trading and loyalty levers, which drive growth and retention of buyers and sellers. We plan and implement a quarterly calendar of promotional activities and incentives aimed at delivering relevance, value for customers, and driving business performance in partnership with marketing and category management teams.

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating operations behind the coupon program, our most impactful trading lever in driving top-line business performance. Additionally, you will lead a newly launched initiative within our incentives program.

What You Will Accomplish
  • End-to-end management of coupons within our CRM system.
  • Facilitate category management teams in inviting their sellers to coupon promotions and provide regular updates on sign-up rates ahead of deadlines.
  • Produce forecasts with sales and spend efficiency, including recommendations on how to proceed.
  • Reduce churned sellers by monitoring leaks in the process and creating safeguards.
  • Coordinate with supporting functions such as marketing and merchandising teams to ensure timely and impactful coupon delivery.
  • Use data to identify opportunities to scale the coupon program further.
  • Strive for operational excellence by optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Understand the eBay customer and promote a customer-first attitude within the team and broader business.
  • Engage with product teams to advocate for developments benefiting coupons.
  • Balance trade-offs between business needs and technical constraints, gaining consensus from partners along the way.
What You Will Bring
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to build and implement operational plans, coordinating initiatives across different functions.
  • Experience in developing and delivering plans to meet commercial objectives aligned with overall business goals. Ability to build and sustain relationships across all organizational levels for effective plan execution.
  • Self-sufficient, results-oriented, and data-driven decision-making skills. Proficiency in Excel and comfort working in a dynamic environment.
  • A passion for eBay as a buyer and seller, and a strong customer focus.
  • Experience with SQL is beneficial but not required.
