A leading mental health charity in the South West is seeking a Project Worker for the Hope Project, focusing on male suicide prevention for individuals aged 30-64. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in mental health support, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those in distress.
The Hope Project is a male suicide prevention initiative supporting men aged 30-64 across BNSSG. We are recruiting an experienced and organized Project Worker to join our small, friendly team. The role involves working collaboratively with colleagues and other staff members in Second Step and affiliated organizations. You will manage a caseload of clients experiencing suicidal ideation or distress related to housing, finances, or employment, providing timely emotional and practical support to alleviate these feelings.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the field of suicide prevention and make a meaningful difference to men in distress. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to preventing suicide in this at-risk age group. Support will be provided through appropriate training to help you succeed. We seek someone with experience supporting individuals in distress, who can work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, attention to detail, a proactive work approach, and a genuine passion for supporting people with mental health challenges or social-economic stressors are essential.
