Volunteer Role: Honorary Psychologist

The Loss Foundation is a registered charity that provides bereavement support for people whose loved ones have died of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists, mental health professionals, and individuals from various other professions.

We host online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, as well as in-person gatherings across the country, such as informal get-togethers and walks.

Our expanding charity team is seeking compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.

Honorary psychologist roles involve:

  1. Co-facilitating bereavement support groups and events for people affected by cancer-related loss.
  2. Receiving supervision from Clinical Psychologists.
  3. Participating in continuous professional development (CPD) and training.

The ideal candidates will have excellent organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will benefit from scheduled supervision, CPD sessions, and opportunities to contribute to research. We offer comprehensive training and CPD opportunities, especially for those interested in psychology careers. We welcome applicants with a general interest in helping others.
