The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specialising in bereavement support for individuals whose loved ones have died of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and mental health professionals, as well as professionals from other fields.

We host bereavement support groups and therapeutic events online, and offer in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.

Our charity team is expanding, and we are seeking compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.

Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating bereavement support groups and events, supervised by Clinical Psychologists, with ongoing CPD and training opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have excellent organisational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive supervision from Clinical Psychologists, participate in professional development sessions, and may contribute to research. We offer excellent training, CPD, and opportunities for those interested in psychology careers. We also welcome applicants with a general interest in helping others.

For more about our team, visit: https://thelossfoundation.org/meet-the-team/

We are committed to providing the best care to an often-overlooked population. We ask for a minimum 2-year commitment, involving facilitation 2-3 times a month (evenings). More information about the charity can be found at www.thelossfoundation.org.

Applications must include a cover letter and CV, sent to [emailprotected]. The application deadline is June 30th, but may close earlier if we receive many applications. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview with the charity team.
