The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specializing in providing bereavement support for people whose loved ones die of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and mental health professionals, as well as professionals from other fields.
The charity hosts online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, and offers in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.
Our charity team is expanding, and we are looking for compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.
Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating support groups and events for those who have lost loved ones to cancer, with supervision from Clinical Psychologists, along with ongoing CPD and training.
Successful candidates will have excellent organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive scheduled supervision, professional development sessions, and opportunities to contribute to research. We offer excellent training, CPD, and are open to applicants with a general interest in helping others.
