The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specializing in providing bereavement support for people whose loved ones have died of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and professionals working in mental health, as well as those from other fields.

The charity hosts online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, and offers in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.

Our charity team is expanding, and we are looking for compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.

Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating support groups and events for those affected by cancer-related bereavement, with supervision from Clinical Psychologists, along with ongoing CPD and training.

Successful candidates will have excellent organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive scheduled supervision, professional development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to research. The charity offers excellent training and CPD opportunities, especially for those pursuing careers in psychology. We are also open to applications from individuals with a general interest in helping others.

Applications must include a cover letter and CV, sent to [emailprotected]. The application deadline is June 30th, but may close earlier if we receive many applications. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview with the charity team.
