Job summary

Rowse Honey in Wallingford is seeking a reliable Honey Process Operative to join the production team across rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts.

You'll handle batch loading, follow SOPs, maintain GMP standards, and support continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality. This role offers a clear path for development within a busy manufacturing environment with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence desirable.
• Numeracy and data accuracy required.
• Good awareness of allergens per HACCP risk assessments.
• Inter-personnel skills and teamwork.
• Detail oriented with strong prioritisation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Good decision making and problem solving.
• Able to adapt to short-notice changes across departments.

Responsibilities

• Pick batches of honey from recipes and load into cabinets.
• Ensure safe operation, GMP and hygiene across the area.
• Follow SOPs and escalation processes for materials and quality defects.
• Maintain housekeeping to GMP standards and wear PPE.
• Support continuous improvement within the department.

We're on the lookout for enthusiastic and reliable team players to join our Honey Process Team - the vital first step in ensuring every drop of Rowse Honey meets our high standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Honey Process Team, you'll:

• Ensure Health & safety is always maintained, Keep a high standard of GMP in all areas.
• Pick batches of honey from recipes issued and load them into the cabinets.
• Ensure that all the honey is loaded into the cabinets and pumped as per the pump plan.
• Follow the standard operating procedures, work instructions and escalation processes for raw materials and component parts with regards to quality defects.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards maximising GMP standards within all areas.
• Always wear correct protective clothing and equipment.
• Own and make recommendations for continuous improvement within the department.
• To carry out any other reasonable supervisory or managerial request.
