Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a motivated candidate for the role of Triage Officer within the Housing Team. The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for people in crisis, delivering robust triage services with a focus on people at risk of homelessness and those already affected.
The role involves working with the Homelessness Service, key partners, and statutory agencies to provide excellent advice and assistance, in a flexible, customer-focused environment.

The role will be varied and rewarding, our customers are always put at the heart of our service provision ensuring we deliver excellent advice and assistance. The successful applicant will work with colleagues in our Homelessness Service and with key partners and other statutory agencies to provide a robust triage service to individuals who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

The successful candidate will be an enabler, have experience of working within a housing service or a similar front line customer focussed role. If you are super organised with excellent communication skills, can engage appropriately with vulnerable adults and families, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will have experience of being the first point of contact for people in crisis. Experience of working with socially excluded people in partnership with statutory and non-statutory agencies would be advantageous.
