Homelessness Lawyer

Sellick Partnership is proud to be recruiting for a Housing Homelessness Lawyer for a well-respected Local Authority based in Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities of the Homelessness Lawyer include:

1. Having a comprehensive understanding of the statutory responsibilities for local authorities regarding Homelessness duties.
2. Handling legal challenges from homeless applicants, advocates, and representatives.
3. Providing support and advice to Team Leaders and Duty Managers in cases where legal challenges are escalated.
4. Preparing correspondence (electronic and hard copy as appropriate) to respond to legal challenges.
5. Handling telephone enquiries from applicants, advocates, and legal representatives as appropriate.

This is a full-time, project-based role for 8 months. Candidates with previous experience working in a local authority dealing with homelessness cases are strongly encouraged to apply.
