Locum Homelessness Lawyer – London Local Authority – Hybrid or Remote Working – £55–£65 per hour Umbrella – 3 Months+

Venn Group is currently partnering with a respected Central London-based local authority to recruit a Locum Homelessness Lawyer on a temporary basis.

Details:

• Job Title: Homelessness Lawyer
• Hourly Rate: £55–£65 per hour Umbrella
• Length of Contract: 3 months initially, with strong potential for extension
• Working Pattern: Full time
• Location: London Local Authority
• Hybrid Working: 2 days per week in-office preferred, though fully remote applicants will be considered

Duties/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join a supportive legal team and manage a busy caseload of housing law matters, likely to include:

• Advice and support on homelessness issues and temporary accommodation matters
• Dealing with possession claims, disrepair, and related housing litigation
• Drafting legal documents and liaising with client departments
• Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation and caselaw

Preferred Experience:

• Strong background in housing law, ideally within a local authority setting
• Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with homelessness legislation and housing litigation procedures
