Job Description:

The Initial Assessment Team Service was established to help applicants threatened with homelessness or homeless to sustain their current accommodation or move into suitable private rented accommodation.

The Front Door Team Service will collaborate with partners to improve resilience and housing sustainment, under Enfield’s Early Help strategy.

The Initial Assessment Team provides expert advice and works closely with partners to prevent or delay homelessness, avoiding temporary accommodation or street homelessness. The Homeless Housing Coordinator will be part of this team, focusing on homelessness prevention.

Requirements include expert knowledge of home visits, welfare benefits, homelessness reduction act, housing and homelessness policy, case law, legislation, courts, possession orders, evictions, and homelessness decision-making. Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children is also essential.
