Job description

As a Home Care Worker, you will deliver high-quality care by visiting service users in their own homes. Your responsibilities include ensuring they remain independent for as long as possible, which involves preparing meals, personal care, assisting with medications, and shopping—all tailored to each individual's care plan. No two care plans are the same; each Service User is unique, and care plans are written according to their specific needs.

About HICA at Home

Located in Grimsby, HICA at Home is one of three leading providers within North East Lincolnshire. We deliver approximately 2,800 hours of community-based care weekly across areas including Five Ways, Cleethorpes, Humberston, and New Waltham. Our services encompass personal care, medication administration, shopping, domestic tasks, and sitter services. We support both one-to-one support services and HICA Care homes.

HICA is a 'Not for Profit' organization providing care services to older people and individuals with learning difficulties, both residential and community-based.

Application and Requirements

A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the geographical range of the roles. We cannot sponsor international workers; proof of right to work in the UK is required.

Job Details

Pay: £16.00 per hour in specified areas, plus 24p per mile driven as a fuel allowance.

Hours: Guaranteed 16 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours. Shifts available in the mornings (7am-2pm) and evenings (4pm-10pm), with alternate weekends off.
