Team Manager – Homecare
Location: Covering Mid and West Cornwall (based at Bluebird Care Office, Truro)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £26,500 per annum plus mileage allowance
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports to: Homecare Area Manager

Overview
Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall is seeking an experienced and professional Team Manager to support the day-to-day operational delivery of our Homecare services. This key leadership role involves the supervision of care staff, quality monitoring, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a care professional with supervisory experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
  • Conduct regular supervisions, spot checks, and performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff in their roles and development.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as part of a shared team responsibility.
  • Spend time in the community conducting care visits, quality checks, and staff observations.
  • Monitor care delivery, ensuring that care plans are followed and updated as needed.
  • Assist in conducting assessments, care plan reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, families, and professionals.
  • Respond to concerns and incidents promptly, promoting a culture of transparency and learning.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Audit care records, medication charts, and care notes to maintain accurate documentation.

Candidate Requirements
Essential

Experience working in domiciliary or community-based care

Strong understanding of person-centred care and regulatory compliance

Excellent leadership, time management and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
