Job summary

First City Care Group is recruiting experienced Care Assistants for our Short-Term Homecare (Front Door) Team in Swindon. This recovery-focused service supports people at home after illness or hospital discharge, helping them regain independence and confidence through short-term support.

You will work in the community with flexible hours, driving may be required. The role focuses on independent living, with full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle considered essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare, reablement or support work.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across Swindon and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, recovery-focused support in the community.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and medication guidance.
• Encourage independence and rebuild daily living skills.
• Travel within Swindon and nearby areas as part of shifts.
