Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Job Purpose:

To work with service users with learning disabilities to enable them to fulfill their person-centred plans, promoting positive outcomes and maximizing independence.

Job Context:

The Community Living Service is a 24 hour/ 365 day residential service in ordinary houses for adults with profound learning disabilities. The service includes individuals with challenging behavior, communication difficulties, and brain injuries. Some service users will require substantial help with personal care and supervision due to understanding of risk.

The service is regulated by the Domiciliary Care Agencies (Wales) Regulations 2004 and their accompanying National Minimum Standards. Staff must register as Social Care Workers with the Care Council for Wales.

The service operates in ordinary houses where 1 or more service users reside, cared for by a small staff team. Staffing levels depend on the needs and activities of the service users.

This is a 148-hour contract over 4 weeks, with working hours on a rota including evenings, nights, and weekends. Work during unsociable hours will attract enhancements according to the local agreement.
