Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to deliver eye care at patients’ homes across South West London and Greater London. You’ll travel between locations, working in varied testing environments and bringing clinical care directly to the heart of the community.

You should have 6–12 months optical experience, hold a full UK driving licence with your own car, and be able to dispense at all levels. We offer flexible hours (minimum 3 days) and a supportive training programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in optics and dispensing at all levels.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have own car.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients at homes across the region and provide eye care.
• Dispense prescribed lenses and give patient advice.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with patients.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers South West London and Greater London - from Brixton across towards Ascot and from Sutton in the South up towards Rickmansworth and everything in between! Our ever-expanding team is scattered across the region so we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible. Due to travel times, our preferred candidate will be based in one of the following postcode areas - SW, KT or TW.

With more 1-on-1 time spent with patients in the place where they feel comfortable, you can really cater to their needs and make a real difference in their lives.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and have their own car.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Home Visits Optical Assistant.These include:

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
• You must hold a full UK driving licence and have your own car
