Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a QTS Home Tuition Tutor to plan and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons, bridging gaps in pupils' education and boosting engagement and attainment. The role is ideal for experienced teachers stepping away from the classroom for personalised tuition.

Based in Wolverhampton, the position involves part-time hours (approximately 15 hours per week per pupil) with a minimum pay rate of £22+ per hour. Start ASAP and ongoing as the pupil reintegrates into a new placement.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have UK classroom teaching experience.
• Makaton training or experience using Makaton to support communication.
• Be creative, patient, and able to think outside the box.
• Have experience working with pupils with SEND and/or those disengaged from education.

As a QTS Home Tuition Tutor, you will be responsible for creating, planning and delivering tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education while boosting engagement and attainment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher looking to step away from the classroom and provide more personalised, enjoyable learning experiences.

Many of these pupils have been out of education for an extended period, meaning their confidence and engagement may be low. Your role will be to re‑engage them in learning, rebuild their confidence, and provide structure to their daily routine through high-quality, individualised tuition.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor each pupil's progress and support effective learning outcomes.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
