Overview

TeacherActive is one of the UK’s largest SEND recruitment agencies and is currently seeking a Home Tutor to support the learning and development of children and young people with special needs. This role works in partnership with Local Authorities and focuses on students ages 6 to 18 with MLD, ASD and ADHD needs.

They are seeking a positive, enthusiastic Home Tutor to start immediately with a focus on core subjects Maths, English and Science/primary curriculum. Hours are flexible, part time or full time, and you will work with students that have MLD, ASD and ADHD needs, either at home or in public settings. You will be confident and adaptable in working KS1 to KS5, helping students meet their goals and providing 1:1 support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core subjects (Maths, English and Science/primary curriculum) to learners with MLD, ASD and ADHD.
• Provide 1:1 support and, where appropriate, small group support in home or public settings.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and KS levels from KS1 to KS5.
• Maintain a calm, patient, and caring approach and ensure safeguarding guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• QTS or ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Experience working with learners with MLD, ASD and ADHD.
• A good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines.
• Experience in supporting students in education on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Our staff are paid on a PAYE basis. We provide a straightforward payroll process with appropriate tax and National Insurance contributions.
