SEND Teacher for Home Tuition

Location: Birmingham – various locations

**Are you looking for a role that supports children currently out of education? Do you want the freedom to manage your own diary and the ability to tailor teaching to meet the individual’s needs? **

About the role

Connex Education is looking for experienced Qualified Teachers to join our Home Tuition team for an exciting opportunity working with children who are currently out of education.

This flexible role allows you to manage your own schedule while working closely with students outside of a traditional classroom environment, giving you a unique chance to directly witness the impact of your teaching on their learning progress.

Tuition takes place within the student’s home, typically consisting of three to four sessions per week. The sessions cover a broad range of national curriculum areas but can be tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. The ideal candidate will possess strong self-organizational skills, the ability to adapt to varying learning needs, and a reflective approach to modifying sessions accordingly.

We are seeking a tutor who can provide a calm, nurturing, and consistent environment, fostering the development of each student’s confidence and skill set. As a Home Tutor, a dynamic teaching style is key, along with the ability to quickly identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies when working one-on-one.

This role will start as soon as possible and will last until the end of the academic year.

Role Requirements

• QTS / QTLS or equivalent
• Previous experience working with SEN Students would be desirable.
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one.
• An outstanding practitioner with high expectations.
• Driving license (Preferred).
