Overview

TeacherActive are one of the biggest SEND recruitment agencies and are currently seeking a Home Tutor to support the learning and development of children and young people with special needs. They partner with Local Authorities and provide a high standard of education for students ages 6 to 18 with MLD, ASD, and ADHD needs.

Responsibilities

We are urgently seeking a positive, enthusiastic Home Tutor to start immediately, focusing on core subjects Maths, English, and Science/primary curriculum. Hours are flexible (part time or full time). You will work with students who have MLD, ASD, and ADHD needs, in their home or in public settings. The successful tutor will be confident and adaptable across Key Stage 1 (KS1) to Key Stage 5 (KS5), delivering 1:1 support and helping students meet their goals.

Qualifications
  • QTS, ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Experience working with MLD, ASD, and ADHD
  • A calm, patient, and caring personality
  • Good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience supporting students in education on a 1:1 and small group basis
