NLC7 £32,208 - £35,036 (based on a 37hr post, pro rata for part-time hours)
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a rewarding career as part of our Home Support Service, providing a person-centred care approach to individuals living in North Lanarkshire. As a team member, you will use a reablement approach, working closely with individuals and their families to promote and maximise independence, self-management, and natural resources. You will enable individuals to gain or regain confidence, abilities, and necessary skills while living in their home environment, including natural supports.
A SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Successful applicants without this qualification will be supported to achieve it. You should be motivated, enthusiastic, and possess a friendly, respectful manner towards individuals' privacy and dignity. As a good communicator, you must be able to observe and respond to changes in the health and wellbeing of your clients, updating and recording care plans as needed.
Experience in a care setting, including moving and assisting, is desirable, along with some IT skills. A current driving license is essential for Home Support Workers. We offer opportunities for professional development and ongoing personal growth.
You will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member before starting in this role.
You should also be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Work Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off; Early shift 06:30 - 15:04; Late shift 14:30 - 23:04.

*Casual/sessional roles receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for each hour worked, compensating for annual leave and public holidays. Payments are included separately on your payslip. You will be paid only for the hours worked.
