What you’ll be doing

Our mission is to be a best-in-class pricing function. To be the best of the best we need exceptional people. This is where your expertise comes into play. Joining our Home Tribe, who are responsible for setting the price for our home policies, you’ll utilise your previous experience of maintaining the pricing algorithm and designing and testing change to deliver commercial value.

You will be leading a team to manage the delivery of all pricing and underwriting changes for home products to market which includes:

  • Ensuring all changes to the algorithm are coded efficiently and fully documented
  • Regular algorithm house keeping and testing to ensure best practice, efficiency, effectiveness and compliance
  • Using external focus to understand ways in which we can improve our change capability
  • Managing our relationship with our vendor and internal technology teams
  • Ensuring that we operate within a strong governance and control framework
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring both your direct reports and those within the wider P&U function through your breadth of knowledge and expertise

What we are looking for

We are keen to meet enthusiastic, passionate and curious individuals, and are open to hearing from those with experience of managing the delivery of pricing changes to market, key is your breadth of experience and understanding across the area.

  • Previous, demonstrable, experience of algorithmic change and development, ideally using WTW Radar software
  • Knowledge and understanding of the components of an insurance price
  • Experience of data extraction and manipulation tools, such as SQL and Python
  • Ability to inspire and engage colleagues to do their best work every day, with a strong external network to bring in best practice and new concepts to DLG.
