Care Home Manager at Overdene

As a Care Home Manager at Overdene, you’ll value kindness above all. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents are met.
  2. Leading, motivating, and mentoring your team, providing clinical guidance and training for the smooth operation of the care home.
  3. Carrying out assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans.
  4. Monitoring work practices to ensure safety and compliance with standards, policies, and legislation.
  5. Promoting residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.

This role provides an opportunity to lead through effective management, ensuring the best care staff are on-site. You will champion resident wellbeing, establish a vision and development plan for the home, and conduct quality assurance activities, all with kindness at the core.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Registered Nurse with current PIN on the NMC register.
  • Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or willingness to study for one.
  • Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating kindness and consideration in interactions.

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and to report concerns appropriately.
  • Willingness to undertake safeguarding and related training.
