Job summary

Care UK in Jersey is seeking a passionate Home Manager to lead the day-to-day running of L' Hermitage and uphold an industry-leading standard of care.

You will provide leadership for all staff, ensure compliance with the latest guidelines and regulatory requirements, and manage the home’s finances in line with company policy. Building strong relationships with residents, relatives and external agencies is essential to maintain a positive local reputation.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years Home Manager experience.
• Experience caring for older people in residential and dementia settings.
• Ability to manage budgets and accounts.
• Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and effective management for all staff in the home.
• Promote a caring environment aligned with guidelines, best practice, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure effective financial and commercial management of the home in accordance with company policy.

The role:

• To take responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the care home and to achieve an industry leading standard.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and effective management for all staff employed in the home.
• Promote a caring environment that is delivered according to latest guidelines, best practice, legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the effective financial and commercial management of the home in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure that a high level of satisfaction with the service is achieved and maintained as well as maintaining excellent relationships with relatives, residents, purchasers and external agencies to build and maintain a positive reputation in the local community.

What We're Looking For:

• 2-3+ years Home Manager experience.
• Care of older people in a Residential and Dementia setting
• Ability to control and manage a budget and accounts.
• Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Health and Safety Legislation
• Ability to raise standards through innovation and new ideas
