Qualifications

  • Experienced Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a large home.
  • Proven track record of achieving Good / Outstanding CQC outcomes.
  • IOSH qualified for Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of professional practice meeting resident needs.
  • Conduct quality audits and implement improvement plans.
  • Lead staff recruitment, retention, and training.

Job description

Home Manager required for an established independently owned care home in Fleet. This is an excellent opportunity to take over the running of a small well run care home, settled staff team, proving high quality residential and dementia care in a beautiful tranquil care home setting.

The home is small and so is an excellent opportunity for a Home Manager that enjoys being visible around their home and adopting a more hands on management style. Supported by an assistant manager and dedicated team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the home is providing the highest standards of personalised care and well-being to its residents, promoting a culture of accountability, reflection and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experienced Home Manager or Deputy Manager experienced in a large home
  • Qualified with the L5 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of CQC, proven track record of achieving Good / Outstanding outcomes
  • IT literate
  • Dementia care knowledge and experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Take full responsibility for ensuring high standards of professional practice which meets the needs of each resident.
  • Quality audits and improvement plans.
  • Health and Safety lead for the home - IOSH qualified
  • Staff recruitment and retention.
  • Ensure that all care staff receive regular supervision and appraisal and that they receive the training and support necessary to facilitate their role.
  • Undertake assessments and reviews.
  • Maintain and develop links in the local community creating opportunities.

Salary:

  • In the region of 45,000 - 50,000 neg DOSE
