Premier Healthcare is seeking an experienced Care Home Manager to take overall responsibility for a Bedford-based home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and strong occupancy alongside sound financial performance.

You will lead a Deputy Manager, Administrator and wider teams, supported by Operations and Central staff, to maintain regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a residential or nursing care home.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.
• Proven track record of maintaining and improving care standards, ideally toward an Outstanding CQC rating.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and occupancy.
• Experience with marketing and developing relationships within the private care sector.
• A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care.
• Ability to motivate and develop a team while driving continuous improvement.
• CQC Registered Manager experience is essential.
• NMC registration and relevant nursing experience would be desirable but is not essential.

Care Home Manager

Location: Bedford

Salary: £60,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a well-established care service in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a strong background in residential or nursing care who is confident leading a team, maintaining high standards of care and ensuring the home operates effectively from both a regulatory and commercial perspective.

The Role

As Care Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining strong occupancy levels and financial performance.

You will be supported by an experienced Deputy Manager, Administrator and wider Hospitality and Housekeeping teams, as well as dedicated Operations and Central support.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience managing a residential or nursing care home.
