Job summary

B&Q plc in Middlesbrough is hiring a Customer Advisor for a part-time, permanent role. You will join a team that helps customers with home improvement ideas, tools and advice, while maintaining store standards and stock control.

Shifts cover 6.00am–11.00pm, Monday to Sunday, 15-30 hours per week. The role emphasises friendly customer service, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new skills in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to learn and helpful.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and assisting with home improvement questions.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful customer service and advice.
• Assist with stock, displays and keeping the store presentable.
• Support sales goals and learn in-store paint-mixing and timber cutting if trained.
