Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is recruiting a Home Therapies Specialist Nurse to join the Renal team at Glan Clwyd Hospital. You will manage a caseload of home dialysis patients, providing specialist assessment, clinical monitoring and ongoing support in patients’ homes and within the renal unit.

Training and supervision of patients and staff form a core part of the role. Welsh language skills are desirable; applicants may submit in Welsh or English.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse required.
• Renal experience and home dialysis knowledge preferred.
• Experience with change management is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist assessment and monitoring for home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients.
• Train and support patients to perform dialysis tasks at home.
• Supervise patients and educate nursing staff in home dialysis care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary renal team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Monitor dialysis adequacy and water quality; ensure safe treatment delivery.
• Promote patient empowerment and self-care through education.
