On behalf of our client, John Lewis and Partners, we are seeking customer delivery (7.5 tonne) drivers to join their established Glasgow team, with immediate start available.

You will initially work on a weekly paid contract with Brightwork with opportunity to transfer over to John Lewis on a permanent full-time basis as and when a vacancy becomes available. Subject to successful interview and criminal records checks.

Your Time at Work

1. Delivering customer orders to locations throughout Scotland
2. Working in teams of 2 with another driver or porter
3. Handling of the delivered items
4. Assisting in installations in customers' homes (training provided)
5. Liaising with the depot or customers directly to resolve potential delivery issues

Our Perfect Worker

1. Has excellent communication skills with proved customer facing experience
2. Valid UK C1 driving licence with CPC and digital tachograph card
3. Available for an interview, assessment and start at short notice

Criminal Record checks will be completed during this employment with John Lewis.

Key Information and Benefits

1. Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour basic hours
2. Working hours - Choice of two shift start times - 4 days worked out of 6:
1. 6am - 5pm between Monday to Saturday
2. 10:30am - 9.30pm between Monday to Friday and Saturday is a 7am start
3. Guaranteed 41 hours per week
4. Minimum of 10.25 hours paid per shift, even if you finish early
5. 41 hours per week, only a 4-day working week
6. Full and ongoing training provided, including manual handling, using tacho with manual entries and home installations
