Overview

Sainsbury's Home Delivery Driver role involving delivering groceries in a 3.5 tonne van to customers, ensuring on-time delivery in good condition, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on-time and in good condition.
• Perform checks to ensure the van is organized, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving; navigate safely in diverse locations and conditions.
• Assist customers, answer questions, handle substitutions, and communicate any delays to keep customers informed.
• Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to assist with recommendations.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed to support the team.
• Deliver in a fast-paced, physical, high-energy environment; use initiative to solve problems and work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Be flexible and willing to work across the store when required, and complete training in a variety of skills to learn and develop.
• Be comfortable using new digital tools and technology to perform duties; able to move shopping containers up to 15 kg.

Eligibility

• You must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview; if successful, a driving assessment will be conducted on joining us.
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
