Qualifications

About the role

In this rewarding role, you’ll make a real difference inthe lives of older Australians by supporting them to continueliving independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every daybrings the opportunity to build meaningful connections and providepractical, heartfelt support that helps clients live life to thefullest.

As part of your role, you will assist with:

  • Accessing the community – shopping, activities, andappointments
  • Personal cares, including showering and self-care
  • Domestic assistance
  • Supporting mobility and transfers
  • Assisting with medication
  • Providing meaningful companionship and social support,helping clients feel connected and live a fulfilling life athome

About you

You’re passionate about empowering older Australians tomaintain their independence and live confidently in their ownhomes. You bring empathy, reliability, and strong communicationskills, along with a genuine desire to make a positive differencein the lives of others.

In addition, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Aged/Community/Disability Care
  • Excellent communication skills, including literacy andnumeracy skills
  • A current Driver’s License
  • A roadworthy vehicle registered in WA and covered byThird-Party insurance
  • Previous experience working as a community support workeris highly desired, but not essential
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6months)
