Job summary

Radfield Home Care - Derby, Ashbourne & south Derbyshire is seeking a compassionate Home Care Professional for part-time, in-home support in Derby. You will promote independence and improve quality of life while delivering essential daily living assistance and companionship.

The role requires a driving candidate with own vehicle, 18+ years old, able to work 7am–10pm and alternate weekends. DBS clearance and references will be obtained.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and have own vehicle.
• Must be over 18.
• Must not require sponsorship.
• Able to work between 7am - 10pm.
• Alternate weekends.
• This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; DBS disclosure and references will be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management and light housekeeping.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation.
• Keep accurate records of services provided and report any changes in client condition or needs.
• Ensure the home environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the client's well-being.
• Utilise IT systems for scheduling and reporting purposes, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
