Job summary

Helpers Homecare in the Biggleswade area is seeking Care Assistants to join our friendly teams in Stotfold, Arlesey, Shefford and surrounding areas. You will provide life-changing in-home care to vulnerable adults, helping with personal care, meals, mobility, and daily tasks. No prior experience required; full training provided.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Shifts include mornings 7am-3pm and evenings 4pm-10pm, with enhanced pay for unsociable hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK is required for this role.
• No previous experience required but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Help service users overcome mobility problems and use of aids/adaptations.
• Domestic tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry.
• Assist with personal care including washing, bathing, toileting.
• Assist with eating and drinking and meal preparation.
• Support with preparing and administering medication as required.
• Contribute to a person’s end-of-life care as needed.
