Job summary

HFH Healthcare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support a gentleman in Enfield with a spinal cord injury, living with family and pets. The role involves in-home, person-centred care, assisting with daily living and mobility, and navigating complex respiratory needs.

Shifts include 12-hour days and nights, with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week. Client smokers are accepted, so you should be comfortable providing care in that context.

Responsibilities

• Providing full personal care and assistance with daily living activities
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
• Helping with bowel management routines
• Assisting with nebuliser use
• Promoting comfort, wellbeing, and independence
• Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with tracheostomy care and respiratory needs
• Monitoring and assisting with BiPAP therapy as required
• Communicating effectively using non-verbal methods
• Collaborating with the family and healthcare professionals
