Job summary

Connected Health in Ballymena is seeking a Care Assistant to provide personal care and daily living support in clients’ homes. You will work to each service user’s plan, upholding dignity and independence, and maintaining professional relationships with families and healthcare staff.

The role requires a valid driver's licence with own car, willingness to work alternative weekends, and clear communication in English. Training and development opportunities, plus a supportive team, are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in homecare is helpful but not essential.
• Good standard of English, both written and spoken.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to your own car.
• Available to work alternative weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with each service user's care plan.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices at all times.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report changes in a service user's condition to the supervisor.
• Follow policy, health and safety requirements and on-call guidance.
• Complete all required documentation, including care records and timesheets.
• Attend induction, training, supervision and team meetings as required.
• Maintain knowledge and skills through ongoing training and experience.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Service Manager.
