Overview of the Job

We are looking for a kind and committed home assistant to help people in their homes with necessary tasks. By helping with everyday tasks and making sure they are comfortable and safe, the ideal applicant will significantly improve our customers’ quality of life. Excellent communication skills, a compassionate disposition, and the capacity to successfully adhere to care plans are prerequisites for this role.

Duties

• Help clients with grooming, clothing, and bathing, among other personal care duties.
• Assist customers with meal preparation and guarantee they have access to wholesome food.
• Assist clients with their mobility by providing a ride to social events or appointments when necessary.
• Keep your home secure and clean by keeping everything neat and sanitary.
• Establish a trustworthy relationship with your clients by communicating well with them to learn about their wants and needs.
• Observe care plans and make sure that the needs, desires, and preferences of service users are always satisfied.
• Any changes in the client’s needs or condition should be noted and communicated to the senior carer/nurse or other appropriate medical personnel.
• Assist clients in preserving ties and relationships with their friends, family, and neighbourhood.
• In order to promote and protect the welfare of service users, make sure they are at the centre of the care delivery process.
• Participate in the smooth operation of the service and cooperate with coworkers and interdisciplinary groups.
• Use IT solutions to communicate effectively and keep correct records.
• Establish productive working relationships with coworkers and always behave in a courteous, professional, and reasonable manner.
• Set an example and represent the service.
• Seek for chances for both professional and personal development, and make a commitment to earning the credentials needed for the position.
• Participate in mandatory and additional training as needed.
• Recognise and abide by all applicable rules, guidelines, and regulations, including the CQC expectations and the Fundamental Standards.
• Be receptive to new experiences and actively involved in service enhancement.

Qualifications

• While not required, prior experience providing home care or in a care home setting is preferred.
• Effective interactions with clients and team members require strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• In order to transport clients when needed, a valid driver’s license is essential.
• The capacity to precisely adhere to care plans and offer tailored assistance depending on the requirements of each client.
• It helps to have some basic IT abilities for communication and record keeping.
• This position requires a genuine desire to help others and a compassionate nature.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a comparable setting
• Prior experience in a comparable position
• Working experience with clients, especially those who might require extra assistance
• A valid driver’s license in the United Kingdom
• Own a car with business insurance.

Only candidates who currently hold valid in-country sponsorship under the Health and Care Worker VISA Route may be considered for sponsorship, in accordance with recent UK government guidelines that go into effect on July 22, 2025. Existing sponsored care workers who are already employed in the UK are eligible for transitional arrangements. The most recent home office regulations pertaining to sponsorship eligibility and visa transfers will apply to all applications.
