Job description

Abbots Careare currently recruiting compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to support one of our clients living in Wimborne.

Our client is 71 with Huntingdon’s and has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer. She requires support with personal care and all daily living and social activities as she is a wheelchair user due to her physical disability.

We are looking for individuals to assist our client daily between the hours of 9am-6pm. The shifts include weekdays and alternate weekends.

The support includes.

• Personal careand showering each day using a hoist.
• Assistance with food preparation and mealtimes
• Day to day living tasks such as domestic tasks.
• Making sure she is always safe
• Being a companion and supporting with hobbies and interests such as swimming and hydrotherapy.

Experience of working within the care sector will be advantageous but a real interest and passion in supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilled lives is essential. We provide an extensive training programme including the Care Certificate as well as complex care training.

The ideal candidate must have a driving license and access to their own vehicle.

We are offering both 0-hour contracts and full-time contracts of up to 40hrs per week with hourly rates of £12.82 - both contracts require you to work alternate weekends.
