• Household chores: cleaning, laundry, ironing, linen changes.
• Support social/physical activities and reminiscence with clients.
• Assist with end-of-life care, appointments, and liaising with health teams.

• Tuesday evening 4pm - 11pm
• Thursday evenings 4pm -11pm
• Thursday mornings 7am - 11am
• Fri mornings 7am -11am
• Saturday 7am -2.30pm
• Saturday 4pm - 11pm
• Sunday7am -2.30pm
• Sunday 7am -2.30pm

Job Overview / Responsibilities:

To support clients with all aspects of their day to day living, so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life. You will mostly work alone with the clients in their home. Providing care and support offers many rewards, but can also be challenging. Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role in our company. To provide safe, reliable, compassionate care and support to meet the individual needs and wishes of each client. Each person is unique therefore you must respect each clients’ choice about how theircare and support is given and promote their dignity at all times.

Duties:

• All aspects of personal care such as showering and bathing, dressing and grooming, dental hygiene, toileting and continence care.
• Assisting with medicines, ordering and collecting prescriptions or returning unwanted medicines to the pharmacy for safe disposal.
• Shopping, preparing and serving food and drinks, clearing the table, washing up and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy, agreeing with the client how to store food safely and when to dispose of out of date produce.
• Safely using aids and personal equipment in a manner that respects the dignity of client. For example walking frames, wheelchairs, manual and electric hoists, sliding sheets and moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids.
• Housework such as dusting, tidying, washing floors, vacuuming and sweeping, doing the laundry and ironing, making beds and changing the linen.
• Social and physical activities or mental stimulation such as keeping in touch with friends/relatives, taking a client out shopping or to social activities, hobbies such as reading, photo albums, games, etc.
• Supporting a client through temporary and terminal illness, including end of life care, hospital appointments, liaising with community health support and families.

Experience:

• No experience is required as full training is provided.
• Chance to earn fully funded NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care

Pay / Contracts Available:

• (Without qualifications) Starting rate of £13.05 weekdays and £13.62 on weekends
• (With qualifications) Starting rate of £13.62 weekdays and £14.18 on weekends.
• Bank holidays without qualifications £19.57
• Bank holidays with qualifications £20.43
• Mileage allowance of 45p per mile

• Sleep ins / Wake ins, paid at £14.40 per hour

Requirements:

• Full UK drivers licence
• 12 week probation
• Female only
• Follow policies, procedures and guidance at all times
• Take part in staff and customer meetings
• Attend training activities, supervisor and appraisal meetings
• Evening Shifts only, 4pm - 11pm
