South Tyneside Council is seeking Shared Lives Providers to host adults in home-based settings across South Tyneside. You can work full-time or balance shared living with other employment, supporting individuals with diverse needs in a safe, nurturing home environment.

Providers are paid a weekly fee depending on the level of support, with long-term care up to £526.10 per week, short breaks per night, and enabling support per hour.

Qualifications

• Be over 18 years of age.
• Have a spare bedroom.
• Self-employed with Shared Lives tax exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and accommodation for up to three adults at a time.
• Home-based role with support from the Shared Lives team.
• Manage day-to-day routine and activities with adults in care.
• Attend training and join peer support groups.
