Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking Shared Lives Carers across Dumfries & Galloway. This is a real home-based role where you welcome someone into your home, share meals and daily routines, and help them live with stability and independence.

Successful applicants will undergo an extensive application and vetting process, including enhanced criminal checks and references, with ongoing support from TRFS throughout the placement.

Qualifications

• Must live within Dumfries and Galloway and have a spare room.
• Extensive application and vetting process including background checks.
• Self-employed with support from The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS).
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability and commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support within your home to the person you support.
• Share meals, routines, milestones and everyday life to build confidence and independence.
• Undergo supervision and on-call support from the Shared Lives team.
• Complete home assessment and background checks as part of the process.
