Job summary

TRL Limited is seeking an experienced Forensic Collision Investigator to join our team, conducting in-depth investigations into road collisions, including fatalities and serious injuries. The role supports UK-wide placement with travel as needed, demanding resilience and strong understanding of the UK legal system.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in forensic collision investigation and vehicle examination.
• Knowledge of key principles of collision investigation and developments within the discipline.
• Training in forensic video analysis.
• Experience producing and reviewing technical reports with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting evidence in court.
• Driving licence (UK) desirable.
• Experience retrieving and analysing vehicle electronic data (EDRs, telematics).
• Knowledge of inspecting electric vehicles and related safety protocols.
• An interest in injury causation.
• Training qualifications in collision investigation or teaching/training experience.

The nature of this work requires resilience, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the UK legal system. The successful candidate can be based UK wide with some travel expected.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in forensic collision investigation and vehicle examination.

• Relevant training and experience in forensic video analysis.
• Experience in producing and reviewing technical reports with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with experience presenting evidence in Court.
• Full UK driving licence Desirable
