Job summary

Dalgety Community Trust, based in Dalgety Bay, Fife, is seeking a Development Manager to unlock funding, develop community assets and build partnerships for lasting impact. You will work with trustees, volunteers and local partners to turn ideas into practical results and strengthen the charity’s sustainability.

The role combines fundraising, project development and community engagement, with a focus on securing resources and shaping income strategies for the future.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, income generation or securing resources.
• Strong project management, organisational and financial skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• The initiative to work independently and turn plans into action.

Responsibilities

• Secure funding and grow income by developing opportunities and relationships with funders, businesses and public-sector partners.
• Develop projects and assets, progressing the Community Hub, Pump Track and other assets with sustainable plans for their future.
• Strengthen the organisation by turning strategic priorities into action, improving systems and governance, and building financial resilience.
• Inspire community involvement by supporting volunteers, developing local leadership and strengthening partnerships with residents and community organisations.
• Plan for lasting impact by building strategic partnerships and shaping the long-term income strategy.
