Job summary

Routes Healthcare is seeking dedicated care workers to provide 1-2-1 complex care in clients' own homes around Chester. You will support individuals with long-term conditions, including tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG feeding, and daily living activities, following detailed clinical care plans.

We offer comprehensive training through Routes Academy, ongoing clinical supervision, and 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• At least 6 months paid care experience in the UK, ideally with complex care.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Willingness to complete specialist training in complex care skills.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG feeding, or similar clinical skills.
• Reliable, compassionate, and committed to delivering excellent clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-2-1 care in the client’s own home.
• Follow detailed care plans created by the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate care records and clinical documentation.
• Work solo or as part of a 2-person team on double-up care packages.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and the care team.
• Support clients with complex conditions including ventilation, tracheostomy and PEG feeding.
