Responsibilities

• Manage payroll input, contracts, and compliance records to keep data accurate and confidential.
• Answer enquiries, coordinate visits, and maintain a welcoming experience for residents, relatives and visitors.
• Coordinate staffing processes and line manage Reception staff to keep front of house efficient.
• Support day-to-day running of the home and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Assist with internal processes and ensure information is up-to-date and properly stored.

About Avalon Park Care Home

Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham provides residential and residential dementia care for older people. With 58 bedrooms, the home offers a welcoming environment focused on person centred care, wellbeing and independence. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive environment, helping residents enjoy meaningful daily lives while developing your skills and experience.

Home Administrator Contract

• Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Home Administrator, you will play a central role in supporting the overall performance and day to day running of the home, working closely with the Home Manager as part of the internal management structure. This is a key position where your organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities will directly support operational efficiency and service delivery.

You will take ownership of core administrative systems including payroll input, contracts, compliance records and internal processes, ensuring all information is accurate, up to date and handled with confidentiality. Acting as a first point of contact, you will manage enquiries, coordinate visits and ensure a professional and welcoming experience for residents, relatives and visitors.

You will also support the coordination of staffing processes and line manage Reception staff, helping to maintain a well organised, responsive and professional front of house and administrative function. Your role will contribute to a structured, efficient and well run environment where both residents and staff are supported.
