Job Title: Hoist Trained SEN Teaching Assistant

The Education Network is recruiting for a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with Hoist Training to support students with additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive school in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Providing tailored support to students with physical disabilities, including safe use of hoists and other mobility equipment.
  • Supporting teaching and learning in both 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Assisting with personal care and ensuring the comfort, dignity, and safety of students.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver individualised support plans.
  • Encouraging independence, inclusion, and participation in all aspects of school life.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a school or care setting.
  • Hoist training and experience in manual handling.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and caring approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Salary

£90- £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
