Job summary

Reliable Contractors Limited is seeking a dedicated Hoist Operator for a full-time Plymouth project. You will operate construction hoists safely, transport personnel and materials, and perform pre-use checks in line with site procedures.

The role requires a valid CPCS Hoist Operator A20, Safety Critical Medical, and BPSS eligibility. A reliable, proactive attitude and strong safety focus are essential for success on this demanding site.

Qualifications

• CPCS Hoist Operator A20 qualification required.
• Validity of Safety Critical Medical required.
• Previous experience operating hoists on construction sites.
• Solid understanding of safe hoist operation and lifting procedures.
• Ability to carry out pre-use inspections and report issues.
• Good communication and site safety awareness.
• Must meet BPSS security clearance criteria.
• Reliable and proactive attitude toward work.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction hoists safely following site procedures.
• Transport authorised personnel/materials between levels.
• Carry out pre-use inspections and report defects.
• Ensure loads stay within rated capacity and restrictions.
• Communicate with site operatives and supervisors.
• Secure loads and keep hoist area clean and safe.
• Maintain accurate inspection records.
• Follow RAMS and site safety rules.
