Job summary

Bedford School is seeking enthusiastic Hockey Coaches to join our growing coaching team for the Spring Term 2027, with potential for continued coaching opportunities in the Summer and Autumn Terms. Job description

The role offers coaching across our Prep and Senior Schools, with regular afternoon sessions from 1.30pm onwards. Sessions run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 5.30pm, and Tuesday and Thursday until 4.15pm, with opportunities to support Saturday fixtures from 12.30pm-4.00pm. Saturday availability is desirable.

You will deliver high-quality, engaging and enjoyable hockey sessions, helping pupils develop their technical skills, tactical understanding, confidence and love of the game. You will work alongside an experienced and supportive coaching team and contribute to a positive, inclusive and aspirational sporting culture across the school.

The role will also provide opportunities to support the continued growth of the hockey programme, including the development of girls' hockey as Bedford moves towards a fully co-educational model. Coaches will have the opportunity to work with pupils of different ages and abilities, contribute to talent development and help establish a strong pathway from participation through to performance.
