Job description

Job Overview

We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic Hockey Coach with a demonstrable passion for the sport to join our highly experienced PE department at Norwich High School.

You will work with our Under 12 and Under 13 teams during one Games afternoon per week throughout the Hockey season (September to December), delivering regular, high quality training sessions. On occasion, you will also accompany teams to matches and assist with umpiring.

This is a part-time, casual position. Sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 1:40pm to 3:40pm during term time. For the right candidate there may also be opportunities to continue coaching netball in the Spring term (January to March).

We are looking for a coach with excellent knowledge of hockey and relevant coaching experience. Ideally, you will have coached to a high standard and possess at least a Level 1 Hockey Coaching qualification (or working towards). You will be capable of motivating and inspiring pupils of all abilities, while also working collaboratively with colleagues. The ability to drive a school minibus is also advantageous.
